電影是充滿天馬行空的創造力產物，也可以是歷史時空的濃縮精華

英語實力：日積月累

學習外語，從電影下手是認識西方文化的管道之一。電影種類繁多，所用的語言和層次也有所不同。戰爭片、動畫片、喜劇片、古裝片、科幻片、動作片等，所呈現的用字遣詞都有區別。俚語、口語、流行語都可以從電影中大量接觸。影片提供情境、人物，生動真實，即使不看字幕，也可大致了解劇情的發展。觀看影片是一種休閒娛樂，同時又可以是一個學習外語的機會，一舉兩得，何樂而不為?

到電影院觀看可以身歷其境，感受聲光音響的震撼，不過無法重複觀看，因此建議透過 DVD 反覆學習，這是可以善加利用的工具。看影片學習外語，需要多次觀看。第一次觀看不使用字幕，第二次觀看可以加上英文字幕，第三次觀看則不使用字幕。一開始，不使用字幕來訓練自己的聽力，並將聽不懂的部分記錄下來。若第一次就依賴字幕，便無法刺激聽力的敏銳度。再次觀看時，仔細注意剛才漏聽、誤解的部分，是否為片語?雙關語?俚語?專業術語?連音?流行語?詩詞文言? 第三次觀看時，可以跟讀，意思是跟著影片中的人物說話，模仿他們的語調和發音。如果三次還是不夠熟稔，那麼觀看第四次也無妨! 每周觀看一部影片，每片看三到四遍，包含跟讀一遍，日積月累下，英文聽力和口說反應都會功力大增！
