許多國中生從小學習英文，聽說能力不錯，但到了準備 GEPT 或升學考試時，卻發現文法、寫作與自發性口說容易卡關。
這篇真實學習心得來自 2014 年就讀台北私立國中的 Alex。他從幼稚園開始就在全美語環境中學習英文與鋼琴，聽說基礎不錯，但在 GEPT 中級複試準備階段遇到瓶頸。透過 EET 睿騏英語的一對一英文家教課程加強練習後，不僅順利通過考試，口說自信也明顯提升。

Alex 怎麼說：
I am a junior high school student and attend a private school in Taipei City. My grades in school are normal. I have been learning English and the piano since I was in kindergarten. I stayed in an English cram school where I could only speak English and I practiced the piano with a tutor until I finished the elementary school.
Now I am thirteen I still go to a cram school to study English and have got an English tutor at the same time. My mom hopes that I can pass the second test of the GEPT intermediate level. My tutor is very patient when she explains the questions of the test to me. She is very nice, but she always gives me a lot of homework. However, in the summer vacation, I still have to go to school and have to write some Chinese composition, too. It is very tiring to do all of the homework. So I asked her if I could do less homework. Then she finally agreed.
After I practiced writing and speaking with my tutor, my English has improved. I look forward to passing the GEPT and speaking with foreigners more.

可能是從小彈鋼琴到大，Alex 是個有氣質的小男生。從小他在全美語的學習環境中長大，他的聽力與閱讀能力都很不錯，因此也順利地通過了全民英檢中級初試，只不過在複試方面，因為不習慣自發性開口說很多話、以及作文的文法，在全美語補習班的他沒仔細學過，她母親就讓我為他加強對GEPT的複試準備。Alex的聽說很容易訓練，反而是文法翻譯部份，我們花比較久的時間作練習。資質算不錯，很好帶的一位學生。

- 聽讀基礎好的學生，仍需加強文法與寫作以及口說
